Things Are Looking Rossi?
A Carling Cup game on a cold, wet and windy October evening when we are playing $hite was sure to sort the men out from the boys.

“Alreet lads, are you feeling positive” I asked as I got in the car. “No” replied Colin glumly. “Oh yes” said the ever happy Greeny, “we’ve got a great record against the smoggies. “Exactly, we’re bound to ruin it” replied Colin. He then explained how the Toon bring out the “glass half empty” syndrome in him. I think we all know how that feels, especially at the minute where just going to the match is a chore.

MATCH REPORT . . . Newcastle United 1-0 Fenerbahce Submitted on 22/10/2006 by Greavsie
It had been a pretty sh!tty day before I turned up at the Sporties. It was tossing it down when I left the house in the morning, I was full of cold, I had next to no petrol in the car, and it was bloody Harvest Festival assembly at the school. So after getting drenched filling the car up, as those so called forecourt roofs offer no sodding protection at all, and getting drenched again running from the car to the school. I had to sit through a range of turgid, badly written (a bit like my match reports ), pontificating songs that I've never heard before in my life, and never wish to again, telling us how we should be grateful for all the gifts of the harvest and how fortunate we all were, blah blah blah, kids dying in Africa, blah blah blah......... Well they don't have to go to the bloody match tonight do they ????????? they don't realise how bloody lucky they are !!!!!!!

That’s my finish!! I’m not going to Old Trafford again, at least not until we sort out this irritating inferiority complex we seem to develop whenever we go there to play Manure. I can’t stomach their smugness. The only time there’s any animation in the stands is when they score, and, when they all get out their seats to leave 10 mins before the end.

I’d have liked to have been able to put a positive view on this match report and I suppose the fact that we’re through to the group stages and Oba scored his first goals at home should have put a smile on my face, but I came away from the ground feeling like Beatle always looks.
