Saturday’s hammering was missed by Thorn Lighting’s Celebrity Fat Fighter.

It was probably for the best as it was a long day and his intake over 7 hours could have set him back by months.
Passy is helping to raise money for a colleague’s daughter, Laura Reay (pictured below) from Chilton, who has an undiagnosed condition similar to cerebral palsy. Laura is a happy 6 year old little girl who cannot walk, talk, crawl, or sit unaided. She is totally dependent on others for every day-to-day activity.

The condition can be helped by *conductive education which can provide some level of independence for individuals to help them to fulfil their potential.

To help raise funds for Laura to continue with her conductive education, and to attend the world-famous Peto Institute in Hungary, Passy is seeking sponsorship to lose weight over the next six months.

He has been ‘weighed-in’ by Thorn’s occupational health nurse, Lesley Whittaker, who has signed his weigh-in sheet. This has been sealed in an envelope and locked away in a safe location. So there’ll be no cheating going on. Any donations are welcome. You can sponsor him by the kilo, half-stone, stone - or by any fixed amount - whatever you want to contribute.

Any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated and those who have the ‘pleasure’ of drinking with him may be better-off financially, by keeping him off the drink and out of the round. Please help him to curb his lager enthusiasm.
* Conductive education is an intensive, multi-disciplinary approach to education, training and development for individuals with cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other motor challenges. Developed in 1945 in Hungary by Dr. András Peto, conductive education is based on the theory that the central nervous system has the capacity to form new neural connections, despite neurological damage. By repeating tasks and integrating intentional movement with learning, the brain creates alternate paths to send messages to muscle groups, creating the desired movements. Through this, a child can gain movement and skills, and achieve greater levels of independence.

The re-arrival of KK meant I suddenly had the desire to go to London village for a match that really I knew we had no chance of getting a result in. BUT KEVS BACK!

I travelled down with a couple of work mates and their two young lads in the car.
