My first view of the new ticketing arrangements today. I was allocated a yellow category 4627-513/425/B super saver return ticket and understood the system at once. Don't know what all the fuss is about......

The fantastic four, Sean, Roy, Chrissy & Craig, went tthorugh early, and apparently Rob couldn't face it, so there were a few empty seats on the way through.

No matter how you look at things, there is no escape from the fact that we are sh!te at the moment. We are sitting in mid-table and playing more like the bottom teams than those above us. The likes of Portsmouth, Everton, Blackburn & Villa should be trying to catch us, but for now we are the poor relations. Sam had Bolton playing with passion and aggression - it looks like he would need every day of his five year plan to get us playing like that. And for me, that is the one thing you would think he could get right straightaway. Why does it take months just to get a group of players to give 100%? Its blatantly obvious that he doesn't know his best team. We have square pegs in round holes, with very few, if any, busting a gut for the cause. The style of play reminds me of how Souness had the team 'playing' - its as if the players are scared of getting bollocked off the manager for trying something, making a mistake then giving a goal away. So instead they retreat into their shell and don't try anything and just hide.

Today's game just summed that all up. Derby are a poor team, but we failed to cope with them. Giving them the lead, TWICE, is inexcusable. Although Viduka levelled twice, and we had more possesion and a few half chances, we did not ever look good enough to take all three points. I can't think of anyone having good game, although it was good to see Duff back on the pitch.

We do still need to keep faith, but christ, Sam & the team seem hell bent on making it as hard as possible. Perhaps we have all done something terrible in a former life and this is our purgatory.

Anyway, by the time this gets posted, i'm sure we will have turned another corner by stuffing Wigan on Boxing Day....................
