Sid nominated Chris Houghton for Manager of The Month in The Sporties prior to tonight's game, and all joking aside I think he's got a very valid point: top of the league and unbeaten in 6 games in all competitions. Why not?

I'm tenuously waiting for the bubble to burst and had a feeling tonight may have been the night prior to the game. However we extended our unbeaten run to six games. Even more pleasing/surprising is the fact that we haven't conceded a goal in the league since the opening game at West Brom. Long may it continue.

We didn't play as well tonight as we have done recently and to be fair Leicester created some chances. Had it not been for Harper in goal they could have scored twice in the first half.

However it was Guthrie who scored the only goal of the game with an unstoppable drive into the top of the Leazes goal to put us top of the league!!!

Some typical August bank holiday weather had some Carrvillians going to great lengths to keep dry (they'd left their jackets on the bus!)
By the way....George wants to know if anyone wants to go to 'Peterlee'on 3rd April 2010, he's got some relations that live there!

It was suggested that we fly there, stopping off at Shotton to re-fuel!

Congratulations to young Craig who became a Dad last Friday. A baby boy, 10pd.
